The Young Professionals have released their new cover video of the classic ABBA hit single “S.O.S.,” available for streaming now on the band’s official YouTube. The track will be featured on the band’s new remix & cover album, due out on July 31st in the U.S. via Universal / Polydor Records. The album will also feature the recently released remix of Imagine Dragons’ “Shots,” BORNS’ “10,000 Emerald Pools,” Lana Del Rey’s “West Coast,” and several others. The album will follow up the release the band’s widely embraced single “All Of It But Me.”
Alongside their own productions, The Young Professionals have become experts in remixes. Given the number of alternative versions produced by the Tel Aviv duet in the past months, TYP will digitally release on June 29th “Remixes & Covers”. This fresh and summery compilation includes 13 of their remixes in the tracklisting. Many of them, like the one for Tove Lo on ” Talking Body” ended up # 1 of the Hype Machine. Others like the one made for Borns, Enrique Iglesias or the alternate version of their new single “All Of It But Me” are exclusive.
4 covers performed by the band come added to this cocktail. The first is none other than their famous resumption of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games”. This version surprised by the quality and originality of its reinterpretation. It should be the same for the other two covers: 400 Lux (as initially performed by Lorde) and SOS (ABBA, of course!).
With this compilation, The Young Professionals prove once again their ability to cross from hiphop sounds to electronic tunes, from pop to indie atmospheres, always with a perfect production. These 18 tracks are certainly as indispensable as (almost) all the objects on the cover of the compilation … or at least enough to spend a beautiful summer.
“The Young Professionals – Covers & Remixes” will be available in digital pre-order from June 15th.
THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS have released a 5-song remix EP for their new single “All Of It But Me,” featuring Anna F. on Cherrytree Records France (Polydor / Universal). The band has seen much praise on the new single, with support from outlets like NYLON, Idolator, Good Music All Day, Less Than 3, and several others. They also saw success with their recent mix of Tove Lo’s “Talking Body,” which premiered at Earmilk in March.
Fans can expect a full album release from the band later in 2015.
